Endometriosis

Endometriosis is characterized by abnormal fibroids found in the lining of the uterus, which often causes pelvic pain, abnormal menstruation and infertility. Although the cause is yet to be confirmed, some studies link endometriosis to alcohol consumption.

In her book, "Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom", Dr. Christiane Northrup describes endometriosis as the illness of competition, where a woman’s emotional needs compete with her ability to function in the outside world.

Treatment

- Pregnancy – A pregnancy will clean the lining of the uterus and any subsequent pregnancies will eliminate re-occurrence of the condition.

- Cleansing Diet/Detoxification

- Castor oil pack to reduce pain or discomfort.

- Supplements – Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B complex

- plus wild yam and alfalfa

- Eliminate dairy products from diet.

- Increase cabbage, whole grains, turnips, broccoli, collard, fresh fruit and vegetable and soy consumption.

- Hormone therapy

- Look within yourself and ask what needs of yours are not being met. Are you trying to please others at the expense of your own desires? What do you need to change and how are you able to do this? Endometriosis and other reproductive conditions are often the cause of unresolved conflict.
