Fibromyalgia




Fibromyalgia is severe muscular pain often accompanied by fever and other disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, depression, headaches, sleep problems, numbing or tingling sensations. Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome appear to be co-related as they share many common features.

Causes

autoimmune disorder (body turns against itself). The pain is caused by low serotonin levels.

Treatment

- Juice Flushes - Adequate water intake

- Reduce caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and processed foods.

- Exercise (low impact such as walking, swimming, yoga)

- Raise serotonin levels. Check with your health care practitioner regarding the use of 5HTP supplements.

- Supplements – Vitamin B complex, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium

- Improve sleep patterns

- Herbs – St. John’s Wart
